I have had many people asking me to write about my run for the US Senate seat in 2018, as a man that had never run before in any capacity. This is the first draft of the beginning.

Late one night ,in December 2017, I couldn’t sleep watching television Senator Wicker from Mississippi gave a speech that didn’t impress me at all. I thought how does this man call himself a conservative at all. I went to my computer to see who was running against him and was shocked, unopposed at this time. Sitting there in deep thought I realized at that moment in time our state-run political republican party machine most likely were progressive republicans and not conservative at all.

I started reading up on Mississippi politicans and realized how bad the situation had become. The Missisippi US Senators had mostly been appointed and then elected to give the machine politicans the roll of incumbent. (96% chance of winning) wow! I thought the people of Mississippi needs a choice a real conservitive, but who?

It is now 3 am after hours of searching I realized Mississippi has very few conservatives politicians in power, much fewer ones that would stand against deficits spending, protecting state’s rights, retaining southern heritage, not even American heritage. The protecting the flag of 1894 to fly until it was legally removed was disgraced, was sold as a symbol of racism, as the Mississippi politcans almost said and did nothing. In essence they were saying all white Mississippians except the men in power were racist.

At this time of the morning I called my grandson Josh in New Orleans, he answers worriedly, papa, “ is everything all right” , yes, Josh i want you call Jackson and get me the papers to run for the US Senate seat in Mississippi tomorrow morning , OK, OOOk. hangs up.

The next morning about 8 Josh calls, hey papa, I had a dream you called for me to get papers for you to run for the US Senat seat in Mississippi, I replied NO, it isn’t a dream I am going to run, I want you to assist.

I discovered quickly that giving money to the republican party was much different than receiving money. The talk of having new voices to be heard and the truth of new voices being heard was completely false. The amount of help the republican party gives a new candidate is below zero. Most republican clubs across the state have no emails listed and a good many of their phones are unmanned. The election is in June less than 6 months, not much time for an unknown candidate.

MY PLATFORM,Term limits biggest event that will save the union in the future. Balance budget, the socialist democrats realize that econmic sound nation will never fail. The platform of the republican party, at least in the past, predicted the nation would fall, if deficte spending wasn’t stopped by the democrats. If it fails with the democrats, it will fail with the republicans, as well. Overhaul and remove departments that aren’t needed. A RESET, each new law must have and old one it replaces. Rural hospitals need pateints and money ,veterans need to use these facilty. The whole of the Veterans needs to be re-examined. The federal government has over stepped its boundaries in ruling the states and the people of the entire nation, our uniqueness as a peolpe is being purposly removed with A one fits all mentality. “Legal immgration” all others must be proscuted for breakikng the laws of the country, we can’t allow politicans to decide who can and who can’t break the laws of the nation with no recourse. Remove the power of lobbiest before they remove the power of our freedom. Two genders male and female, you can become what ever you want, if you have the money, but you will be the sex you were born with when you die. All forms will list sex at birth. No altered male or female will be allowed to compete in any event different than the sex they were born in(there is always exceptions that can’t be foreseen)Equality for all, I would strengthen laws of discrimination to all that believe somehow we are not all equal, matters, not the race. Fair trade and free trade are two different things all together, we need fair trade that equals free trade. I believe foreign aid is a method of enriching politicians on the backside of delivery, a good portion of this money comes back to politicians that handed it out to start with from the back door. We need to delivery foriegn aid with american workers and know how, not money. We are a Christian nation, we allow all the freedoms of religouis beliefs but remeber this dosn’t change the fact that we are built as a Chistain nation, there is nothing written in the consitiution of sepration of church and state.(it was just a utterness of words), Abortions need to be band except on the advice of a Doctor or maybe a panel of Doctors. State rights must be allowed over federal rights in most cases.

After connecting with the republican club in Monroe county, I decided to go to Columbus Mississippi uninvited to push for an audience. The women’s club announced their meeting a week or so in advance so we show up. The lady taking the money for lunch mistaking me as the main speaker gave my lunch money back and said she was sorry, I shook my head and said “Ok“. I introduced myself to the lady in charge, there was a shock in her eyes, that I wasn’t invited, how dare I enter her domain. (that is my take, not hers) She agreed to give me 5 minutes which is customary to visiting candidates but reminds me quickly no more. I sit down and the lunch lady approaches me embarrassingly that she again had made another mistake and that I now have to pay for my lunch, ( the lady in charge looking at lunch lady and me as if we were in this together)that only the main speaker gets to eat free. Everyone in the place is in a buzz about me already and now this lady is trying to break a hundred dollar bill with mainly ones and fives, it is breathtaking to watch. I believe there were 90 or so people at this meeting, a state Senator, was the main speaker. I had warned Josh not to ask for pictures that the establishment would frown unfavorably on politicians that looked outside their realm, he was turned down.

MY REAL FIRST SPEECH,(in reality my second speech but the first one was off the cuff) ladies and gentlemen thank you for taking your time to listen to me, I introduced myself and where I was from; My entree into this race isn’t because at 68 all of a sudden I believe I needed to become a US Senator, I have never run for any office in my life. In fact, I have never given a speech to this many people at one time, so you’ll are first. We have elected people that are not conservatives in voting, in 200 or so years we were less than a trillion dollars in debt, now in less than 20 years, we are 23 trillion in debt, the 200 years include a civil war, two world wars, and many depressions, our nation is sick, my friends. We need term limits to remove the congress cancer from the nation and hope it will heal. I am not the smartest man in the world, not the most educated, surely not the strongest, but I am the one that will start from the bottom up to get term limits, no one will ever succeed in getting term limits from the top down. I will not vote for deficit spending except to defend an aggressor attacking our nation. Balance budget makes a strong nation that understands the nation out of economic control will spend itself into super inflation as Venezuela. Immigration rules should be followed, how do we as a nation allow non-citizens to break the law and then enforce citizens to obey. The country I see shortly picking and choosing the laws that will or will not be enforced will lead to chaos in the large cities that no one but the army will be able to control. In closing, I am ex-combat soldier, businessman, a father that raised my kids, and many more that came to just spend the night and never left. My only reason to run is to fight for my grandkids, Many I will never know, I believe strongly that if freedom is saved, it will take someone like myself and others that have faced death in battle many times and have no fear of losing.
