After seven months, I am maintaining 180 to 184. lbs(starting wieght 209) following my intermittent fasting. I have noticed the body is remarkable; sometimes I will overeat, I will gain some pounds almost immediately, but the waste is coming out of my body more than doubles, and the frequency increases. Sometimes in fasting, I will go almost a day without eating for three or four days, I will lose a couple of pounds. IN this time frame, my waste time frequency is minuim, and the amount of waste almost unmeasurable. I am realizing that my body has learned my new schedule of eating nothing after 7 pm until after 1 pm (18 hours). I think my body now realizes it must utilize the nutrients that inter my body before these time frames, so it wastes almost nothing; when I overeat, most of it comes out of my body as just waste.
Most of my wieght loss comes in sleeping.I have noticed any alcoholic drink makes my wieght loss during the night cut more than in half. I lose about 2 pounds a night and gain wieght during the day, it is strange to me without eating at all you gain a pound or two during the day. My weight is the highest before bed and the lowest first thing in the morning. (i pee and weigh myself before coffee)
Losing weight was only part of my return to health, removing sugar and starches that turn into sugar, replacing cokes with water or lemon drink with very little honey, cutting out snacking and foods that have many ingredients; I try to eat foods that were eaten by men before the invent of process foods. Seed oils that are sold as vegetable oils(these oils are in everything) I try to avoid.
What have I gained from this adventure? I now have almost no belly fat at all; my breathing has been the biggest benefactor, my mind is much clearer, my sleep is deep, blood to all my extremities has increased (need no blue pill) My appetite is almost zero with no hunger pains at all. (this took a while, and I had to build up to this)
At 72 years old, not knowing how many years are left, I wanted to benefit from living these years as healthy as humanly possible. The fountain of youth isn’t in the water but the mind of the individual.
