Somehow, slavery and all its ugliness have been bestowed onto all white people in Mississippi and the south. Our Republican elected leaders, without a vote, decided on their own to remove what they considered the anchor of white supremacists, the flag of 1894. Ignoring the voice of 2001, missing the fact the flag was introduced in 1894, long after the civil war. Most Mississippians in the past and at this point have never been racist. The leaders of our state government have cemented the idea to the rest of the Nation and the world that they in removing the hated flag of racism to have cleansed the souls of all Mississippians, and love will flow like rain, blue states will shovel the dump trucks loads of money to these beloved creatures of the south, now that their souls have mended, as the republican state government slew the evil white supremacists and removed their confederate son’s statue to a place of dishonor, all that is left for them to do now, is have all white Mississippians get down on their knees and repent the evils of their past and denounce their parents and grand parents as evil and racist.
The world had slavery from the beginning of man; slavery exists in many parts of the world today. Mississippi is the least racist state in the nation at this time. The nature of the state exists that all folks have to work together because the population is so evenly divided. People wrongly believe that anything white against black is racist; this is wrong. We have accepted that blacks calling themselves “the ugly name” is acceptable in public as their God-given right, we have ignored or hidden that black males are only 6.5 percent of population and are responsible for 52% of all murdered people in America, that most other crimes are as high or higher. Ignoring the fact their offense puts them in direct conflict with law enforcement many times over any other race of people is plain to see. We, both black and white, need to end the wholesale slaughter of young black men in our cities; strangely, we turn a blind eye to these boys and men that give nothing to society but death and destruction.
The cure for a deadly cancer is painful and dangerous for the person involved but necessary to save their lives. The future is for strong men to realize some of these young men will perish in the fight to save the many. GOD BLESS
