MY SPEECH HONORING DOCTOR MARTIN LUTHER KING AWARDS IN COLLINS MS
I was too sick to go, and I was to say the pledge of allegiances and give a speech, Honoring Doctor Martin Luther King. (for the award they gave me)

Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for having me and honoring me to help celebrate this man.

This, my friends, is the second time in two years that I have been to this event and the first time to win the award; thank you all very much. Today’s speech will not please everyone, but it comes from my heart and soul. Reading the many writings of the Great Martin Luther King, I realized there was more to this man than meets the eyes. His far-reaching thoughts on” black and whites,” hand and hand at the play yards, that not judging a man by the color of his skin. He never envisioned an America divided by race again once freedom was gained. We are witnessing it at this moment in time. They removed the statues of American heroes founding fathers statues, renamed institutions of higher learning, removing statues of presidents. Some here, I think, see these maybe as victories; I do not; they are drum beats to war. We must watch the socialist democrats that will lead the country to a revolt; they can hide by their whiteness but not the black man. We must understand there is no real race divide in most Americans; there is an economic divide that can be conquered once all Americans conquer the socialists. Freedom comes with responsibilities of citizens, unlike slavery of socialism where the whole is more important than the individual. We all choose our likes and dislikes, but we are all truly free to follow our paths. The biggest problem we have is leadership in all our larger cities that tomorrow, the next day, next month, or next year that the country will awaken to the knowledge of the possibility of our demise.

In closing, “ a little story” when I was very young in Savannah, Ga A giant fish swam over the overspill into a small pond, it took me hours to chase it down bringing it home my father said that white people don’t eat that type of fish. I decided to walk to the black boy’s house that I played with occasionally and see if they wanted it. (my passed father said I was only 6) Walk on up the steps with this hefty fish. HearJR’s mother screamed to her husband to help me. What you got, I told them how I caught it, and my dad said it was not white people eating fish. She laughs Honey, you go out and play with JR, and you be the judge. We played a while the husband told us to wash up. Sitting down to eat and eating much more than my share, she gave me a piece to bring to my dad; I ate on the way home.

I want all to know I love all people as most Americans do, but as most of us will tell you if you attack our home and family, it matters not your skin color. I would ask, what have our cities gained by all this lawlessness but more death to young blacks? These socialist leaders have no cures, and they only want to rule at all costs. GOD BLESS
