I see a man that could have been the torch of the conservative movement in Mississippi. He didn’t have to do anything but what he promised to do, which was bring the flag of 1894 for the Mississippi citizens to vote. Had the Governor, in a losing effort, stood tall fighting for what he had promised, no conservative would have thought ill of him. I fought to help the Governor get elected over Waller and Hood with the idea that the flag issue would be left to the state’s citizens. Not one conservative has lost sight of the timing of this removal. Had we attacked taxes with this vigor, we would be tax-free.
I would challenge the Governor to redeem himself with the conservatives in Mississippi by openly supporting Brian Flowers for US Congress against Socialist Democrat Bennie Thompson. Bring Flowers to the Capitol proclaiming how conservatives could bring prosperity to the 2nd district. School vouchers for kids going to failing schools or schools that are dangerous. A poor man or woman should have the choices for the kids. The money should follow the child, not the child the money. I believe if we want a change in the 2nd district, we need changes that citizens are able feel and see. The Governor, in just a few days, was able to cause the water to flow, to be clean and drinkable. Let the people, with little to no future, realize that with the help of a new US Congressman and a governor, let’s say, parted the seas can bring hope and prosperity.
Money from the GOP and words of wisdom from the Govenor can remove a socialist congressman that should have been gone years ago. Brian Flowers with help and luck, can maybe get it done. Men stood on the sidelines as my brother, and I led the charge to remove unclean Congressman Palazzo in the 4th district; nothing was “written.”
For citizens in the 2nd district, the only way to win is to walk into the lion’s den and become a lion. Gas, grocery, and electric prices are killing the poor, the old, and the hard-working. Let’s tell the people of the 2nd district we will remove income taxes, and we will remove the outrages grocery taxes. We will find ways as conservatives and Mississippians to do as the Governor did, make the water flow.
