If Putin wants to play chicken, why not up the ante and bring tactical nuclear weapons to the battlefield? Two sides can play this game, and I can assure you our side is better equipped to make it happen. Biden shouldn’t let this puppet of a leader act like he is the only country with nukes. We can’t stop a nuclear conflict by wishing; you can eliminate one by a show of strength. Hitler had plenty of gas and could have done significant damage, but in the end, the retaliation would have been horrible to the German people.

Is there no road to peace beside the destruction of Ukraine and Russia? What will be gained at the end of this conflict? Crimea, a port, was given to the Ukrainians when they were part of Russia; I believe it to be the only warm port in Russia’s. We need to find ways to stop the killing and cool the world down. We need to stop telling China what we will do in Taiwan. The need for peace, not words of war.

I don’t know what Russia would want to end this war, but Putin has already lost much more than he would have gained by losing both Finland and Sweden. I would hope that there are men and women in high places in Russia and Ukraine that realize peace, not at any price but peace. We must remeber that words of peace coming from dictators rarely are worth the ink on the paper.

If Putin’s only desire is to wipe out the nation of Ukraine, they will fail miserably.
