CONQUERING AND CONTROLLING TECHNOLOGY FOR GOOD, we as humans have come to this crossroads a few times in the past, I believe. All civilizations have had to deal with controlling technology, or it eliminated them. There are millions of cultures across the universe, but most likely, only a few were able to survive technology and prosper.

FAMILY STRUCTURE FARMING TO STAY ALIVE if technology fails us or we eliminate each other to almost extinction; who is left will care nothing about the future, but harvesting to feed the family. Humans and probably all intelligent life in the universe have come full circle with this numerous times, for example, in the fall of Rome.
