mississippi

I had an operation on my right hand ,so I’m not able to type, this was the start of my writing from a few days ago.

Mississippi transparency in government gets a C+. Mississippi single greatest revenue is the federal government at or around 40% of our revenue. This places us number one in the nation; take that, California.

Looking at the tax structure across the state, one can’t help but wonder why we have taxes on groceries. I drink some alcohol at parties and functions, but it’s not required to live, but feeding kids and families is a requirement. Why, at this point, are we still working on a solution to remove the grocery taxes that should’ve been removed when we became Republican-strong? (move the taxes to alcohol and or cigarettes)

State income taxes, if we moved these taxes from income to spending (sale Tax) the people that do the less spending because of money, will be helped the most. (figureing that the grocery tax would be removed) The savings of closing the department completely and eliminating it would help some.

Higher education: somehow, it seems strange that we keep spending more and more money on higher education for people who don’t use their degree. The amount of money we pay for everyone to have the opportunity, as we say, seems to be wasted on people that have no desire or even use the degree when they graduate. Only 27 percent have a job related to their degree (Washington Post), and many graduates from college are underemployed. Not everyone is meant to be college-educated. We need to rethink higher education and the cost?

NOTE;

Politicians that lie; One of my reasons for voting for Governor Tate Reeves was a promise that he would support the vote for the flag of 1894 by the people of Mississippi; I had supporters that followed my lead. When the Govenor stated before the senate vote that he would sign, if passed in senate, this proved a fixed was in before the election was ever taken. Promises even by politicians need to be fought for if not you should pay a cost.
