True Political Courage (the 15)

Most people have never been in the position of a political rebel, some would go as far as to say a traitor. Standing tall against your party is rare, indeed. I have, to a much lesser degree, been there and witnessed the raft. Imagine you are the persons that is holding up getting millions of dollars just because you don’t want or truly don’t understand how the game is played. The idea that you are only a pawn in a game of chess must be taught and understood.

The surrender of your vote after many tries to elect a man the group had zero faith in,will only hurt the group. “Some fights you must win.” Trust in group on McCarthy’s part is dead. The idea that you will be more than just a vote will be your reality; stay home, call your vote in, and don’t waste your time trying to lead.

There are many political warriors before being elected, and most, if not all, discover money and power and succumb to both. We all like to be liked, especially in our little selected club, we eat, drink and be merry.

The (15)had victory within their grasp; the pressure exerted against them was tremendous. The “most powerful” will never forgive the non-vote, and the (15)will never be able to hold the body at arm’s length again. To some, they are rebels and even traitors to the party.

Political individuality is dead and gone; going to congress with your hopes and dreams is just that, dreams.
