We are hurting and killing each other ,what a sad story. We, the USA, have the Monroe Doctrine that states that in the Western Hemisphere, no other nation can put soldiers in any country. We have denied the rest of the world any choice of putting any army in any country in the two Americas. I am not saying that it is all bad, but if we want all countries to stay away from our part of the world, maybe we should do the same in other regions.
I wonder if we had left the two countries of Russia and Ukraine alone to hammer out their differences may be this war would have ended before it started. Victory sometimes is not in the defeat or the triumph over a nation but at the end of killing citizens and soldiers on both sides. Death matters not that you are either a soldier or civilian but is just the outcome of a senseless war. These people are closely related and have more in common then not. If peace is the goal, then peace should be the sword not bombs, tanks and bullets.
We, as one nation in the world, must always be ready for war, be it nuclear or conventional, but peace should be the product we sell. The demands we should be given are not the sounds of battle but peace. The setting of the table for peace should be realized with nothing to do with hate or personal goals of our national gain from the people that live side by side. We need to sell peace stronger then the killing products to maintain war.
I guess some call this crazy Russia did invade Ukraine, but not all of this is innocent as most things aren’t. My time in war is etched in my memory of holding a dying baby caused by my actions or putting pieces back together of a small child to send to the medic or carrying a dear friend torn to pieces by bullets, throwing a grenade into a dwelling killing a family; none of this matters to a single soul today, accept to me, as the men and women that die in Ukraine will not matter shortly, accept to their family and friends.
It seems to me we are baiting China to fight for Taiwan. Just leaving it alone as it has been doesn’t seem enough with this Democrat-led American government. Sending senators to prove the strength of America will only end up with dead and wounded soldiers on both sides, not counting endless civilians; we need no war, no victory; we need peace.
