China back in the 50s decided that the sparros were eating to much of their grain so they had everyone kill the sparrows. In this hasty decison was one of the few victories the comminist government had in this time frame. This one act made the crops for the next five years to be devastated with locus other pest to cause a great famine starving to death millions.

China 2020 was angered that Australia wanted and called for an investigation into the Covid-19 epidemic that started in Wahun, China. They, in another hasty decision, put tariffs on Australian products and banned coal altogether. They failed to inform the Australian government, so ships headed to China were not being unloaded in the harbor, and many ships were on the open seas headed to China. One ship then many ships were idle for over or close to a year. In the meantime, China was having a coal crisis as they use coal for 60 percent of their energy. In their unbending to accept Australian coal, they had electricity outages across the country, causing industries to shut down temporarily. At this moment in time, like the one with the sparrows, the rains came and flooded some of their primary coal production. (China mines 75% of its coal) This puts the Chinese government in a terrible position, so they unload a ship or two but don’t lift the ban.

Now for a reason for the story, China’s actions are causing medium and large corporations to move their operations from China. This is the second year in a row that industries in China have shrunk. The supply across the globe is very fragile. China refused to unload ships, and Russia was cut off from the world because of their invasion of Ukraine, their exports have been cut way down; what is the one thing they both have in common? Authoritarian governments makeing bad and wrong decisions.

The American government back in the 70s deciding to open up China to the world gave up American industries and caused unemployment for many in the late 80s and 90s. We must remember bad government even if they believe they are doing the right thing can cause millions to perish. As a half ass inventor with one patent to my name ,for every action,has like and opposite reaction which may be worse,then no action.

America must produce our own medicine for the foreseeable future; we must build our industries back to levels that can sustain ourselves in need “because of war.” We were taught a lesson in the pandemic that we escaped, but what about next time?
