VOTING; 21 years old, need to be tested of some knowledge of the nation and what we stand for in freedom. We need a system that allows voters that vote to increase taxes share in the burden, not just the few that pay the bills. It is easy to vote to increase taxes if it only affects your neighbor. The idea that citizens believe the elections are fixed will cause the nation to fail quicker than the debt of the country.

debt; need first to start acting like it is, what it is, cancer to the nation to cause our great country to fail. We need to address it as if we have been given a few more years before failure or death.

freedom of speech; how can a company or government make money across state lines and deny certain groups of people, not a voice, must be fixed. This right alone should make most Americans ready for a rebellion. No subject should ever be taken off the table.

Second Amendment; guns and weapons are not the problem; it is a people’s problem. The violence in video games, movies, and television affects us all to a degree.the As a soldier in Vietnam witnessing actual death, I cannot watch these gory video games claiming “NO” mercy; even in a real war, we have and give mercy. Some e people belong not at school, not in society at all; they either were born missing something or drugged themselves to insanity. Not all people are sane.

The founding fathers realized the colonies needed to be free from British rule; to grow into an independent nation. Many, if not most, the colonists were okay with being ruled by the faraway king of England. These founding fathers against all odds took on the strongest nation on earth and won. At no time in the war did the few get more than 30 percent approval, and that was when the war was won. The courage to realize that half the population has no idea what is good for the country.

The flags, statues, and history of the nation must be guarded as if it was worth the gold in fort knox because even bad history must be remembered, or the chances of repeating in the future are assured.

Let us sacrifice our todays so that our children can have a better tomorrow.
