I find it hard to believe we have few politicians in Washington, DC, or Mississippi that don’t love money and power over the state and country’s future. In Mississippi, the neediest people are the old and the very poor, and we still tax them on the food they put into their bellies. I was very poor growing up, eating grits and gravy for many meals because it was the only thing on the menu. I like to mention that the Democrats ran the state for over 130 or so years, and they never removed the tax either; politicians love spending other people’s money.
The idea that women now have to compete against men in sports is sad. A woman set the American record for the fastest time in swimming, only to be beaten badly by a biological male. This is almost insanity, but it is unbelievable true. We have fines for killing animals protected by law that are outrageous, but killing an almost-born child isn’t murder; we are sick. The “woke” bunch screams to save a killer from execution but believes killing a child to be nothing.
We have lost our way. Football and basketball players who get a free ride in college get astronomical amounts of money, and scientists that may someday save the world are paid pennies in comparison, and guess what they had to earn their degree. We as a country are walking in the dark woods trying to find a light to follow.
Someday soon the country which isn’t like most countries across the globe, we will stand saying enough is enough , these leaders, if that is what you want to call them, will fall like rain from the sky. The one thing to remember many of us are from the stock of the founding fathers and are not afraid to stand.
Watching from the sidelines of life, doesn’t mean weakness, it only means the time hasn’t arrive.
