I listened to a young man at McDonald’s this morning while eating my oatmeal and biscuit talking about how bad cops are, meaning all cops. I couldn’t sit there and listen to this pure nonsense, so I introduced myself to him and his little group of intellectuals. I explained how his thinking was flawed. I asked him if he thought police officers came from a different planet and were taught from birth to be policemen . He said they weren’t, so police officers are like anyone else in the world, in any other job, correct? He told me right, so I asked him how many people he knew at work place who were excellent at their job; he answered more than half, so I answered this would be true in most workplaces. He responded, Sure, so if little more than half the police force knows their job well, that leaves less than half who are there just for the money or some other reason, right? Yes. I then asked him what percent of his workplace was pure idiots, and his answer was perfect: I see what you mean.
