“I have found myself under attack for speaking the truth, but I refuse to back down. It’s disheartening to see how some people view me as an enemy when all I’m doing is advocating for what I believe in. I firmly believe that words have the power to guide us out of this chaos.

Despite moments of frustration, I am encouraged by the realization that I am not alone in this fight. Our future generations, whether in heaven or in our collective consciousness, deserve victories. I’ve spent most of my life focused on my work, family, and community, never venturing into the realm of politics. However, in 2017, I had a wake-up call.

One night, after listening to a US Senator, I decided to challenge the status quo. I urged my grandson to help me gather the necessary documents to run for the US Senate against Senator Wicker. Despite skepticism from the establishment and minimal support, I managed to secure 18 percent of the vote. It was a significant achievement considering the odds stacked against me.

My involvement in politics didn’t stop there. My brother Carl and I took on the challenge of exposing corruption within our local congressman’s office. Although my brother didn’t win, our efforts led to the removal of a sitting congressman, a feat not accomplished in a primary for 62 years.

We cannot be afraid of winning. It’s time to stand up against dishonest politicians who have normalized lies. If they can lie, how can we trust them? Conservatives, Patriots, and Republicans who believe in our party’s values must unite to make Mississippi and our nation resolutely red.
