Our forefathers all had weapons around the house to survive but they didn’t kill their families and friends. Boys had guns in their pick up trucks on the school grounds back in the 60s and before no one was shot? At 18 years old machine guns and every type of weapon in Vietnam no mass killings of our own soldiers.
A nation that has no boundries or norms to follow will follow any shiny light in the dark. I have noticed in this new generation the need to be tattooed and pierced as if they are looking for that shiny object in the night. The other day watching a young lady and her boyfriend with orange-colored hair and objects sticking out of many seen places, both probably needing a job. This doesn’t mean these people are somehow bad, but it does look like they have no path, no purpose, and are living and breathing air but have no sense of direction. I wonder, in their thoughts do they dream of lifting humanity into a peaceful co-existence or building the newest products, or becoming CEO’s of great companies or do they dream at all. Some seem to exist but don’t live.
I think even the strongest atheist would agree that the loss of GOD from the young is damaging to the health and welfare of any nation. The need to be part of something bigger than oneself and to have the ability to rely on faith has been lost. The teachings of honor, love, and respect are replaced with the attitude that everything is “ok.” It isn’t if you have watched anything about life; undisciplined people cause, significant harm to themselves and their families. We have always had people on the oustside fringes of society but not to the degree we have now. The great dreamers of old america have turned into the great non-doers of today.
The greatest gift one generation can give another is economic stability. We, in the last 42 years, have failed the coming generations. The idea that we went from less than a trillion to 31 trillion in debt in these 42 years is criminal, and the politicians that led us should all be jailed. Now just one years interest could have paid off the entire debt in 1982 with money left over. The “now generation” will be seen in the future as the insane generation.
GOD helps those who help themselves; throughout the Bible, great wars are fought for men’s faith. The Jews said it best after world war two “never again” my interpretation meaning they will never forget that GOD helps those who have the guts and the whereabouts to help themselves. So if you are waiting for the great leader to lead the nation back to sensibility look in the mirror, it is you.
